Debussy’s Violin Sonata in G Minor was written as part of a projected cycle of six sonatas for various instruments, of which only three were completed. In fact, it turned out to be Debussy’s final composition.

The premiere took place on 5 May 1917, the violin part played by Gaston Poulet, with Debussy himself at the piano. It was his last public performance.

Anna Kondrashina has been hailed as one of the most communicative, exciting and inspiring performers of her generation. She is a prizewinner of the prestigious Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan.

Anna and Pavel started writing arrangements during the Covid-19 pandemic. This piece is the first in a series of transcriptions called “Rewired Music”.
