The exercises in Flute Aerobics are based on the author’s own warm-up practice and are designed to help the student prepare for practice. Speed, dynamics and articulation are to be indicated by the teacher or student which means that the exercises can be adapted to suit a variety of needs. Aerobics is in sections working through tone, technique, articulation and sequences. Pick exercises from each section to warm-up each aspect of your playing, and as you get used to them, try to make the exercises more demanding by using faster speeds, different articulations and rhythms or by playing them from memory.
