Wye, Trevor
Trevor Wye had a few private lessons with Geoffrey Gilbert, but did not attend a college of music, a conservatory or a university, the result of which was that he was not made aware of his many faults. He is the author of the famous Practice Books for the flute, which have received world wide acclaim and have been translated into eleven other languages.
Trevor Wye teaches at his Flute Studio in Kent, a one year residential course for postgraduates, and travels widely giving master classes including annual appearances in the USA, Taiwan and Japan. He enjoys serving on juries for international competitions, giving recitals and presenting his unique “Flutes Fantastic!”, an hilarious presentation which includes the 50 Variations on the Carnival of Venice for 60 Flutes and Piano.
